CARS Field Day 2010 - June 26th & 27th
The 2010 ARRL Field Day will be held on June 26 & 27. This year, CARS will be operating the WE4TT Field Day Stations from the Clearwater Fire Department Training Academy (1716 N. Belcher Road - same place we normally meet). No matter what your operating skills, from beginner to expert, the CARS Board encourages you to participate and be part of the CARS Field Day Team.

The CARS Chistmas party will be held this year on Dec 11th at the UPARC facility behind the Long Center on Belcher road. We will begin at our normal meeting time at 7:30pm. Please bring a covered dish or side dish and send an email to any officer to coordinate. We will also be repeating (pun intended) our infamous chilli cookoff so if you have a favorite recipe please bring your entry and we will all partake.

December 7th - Ride With The Stars
The annual Ride With The Stars walk/ride/skate-a-thon will be held at Fort DeSoto park on December 7th. This will be the 10th year hams have provided safety communications for the event.

The Florida Gulf Beaches Half Marathon will run December 15th at 7am till 10:35 am. We need about 40 volunteers to cover this event.

December 7th & 8th - Tampa Bay Hamfest
The Tampa Bay Hamfest is the largest amateur radio trade show on Florida's west coast. The Manatee Civic Center has numerous amenities including premium meeting facility space, a large exhibit hall, and free paved parking.
